Historiography is the study on how historians create their perspectives of history. In this discussion, we examine how historians discuss the origins of the Cold War.

There are three prominent schools of thought on the origins of the Cold War: Traditionalists, Revisionists, and Post-Revisionists. In Lecture 1, we read articles about each of these prominent scholarly positions.
